HISTORY

CATRAL has its origins in the 20´s, specifically in 1928, when commercialisation satarted with the first manufacture of reed screens and other products obteined from the native reed from the south of Alicante´s province. This was the origing of an insustrial and entrepreneurial activity initially related to agriculture and construction. The range was gradually extended in subsequent years manufacturing other natural materials like willows, fern and heathers; as well as others importance like bamboo screens.

Over the 80´s, CATRAL sterted manufacturing the material based in synthetic rods obteined from PVC extrusion. It was the first company manufactruing and trading this kind of product, providing a full innovation in the spanish market. Currently it is one of the two unique european business where this material is manufactured, it has an own extrusion plant equipped and dedicated specifically to its production. This was the first company to manufacture and market this product, providing complete innovation to the Spanish market. In the following years, the company has constantly extended its range of products, approaching new markets like DIY, gardening and decoration until CATRAL brand recahed in both national and international as a reference in supplying products to this channels.

INTERNATIONAL

CATRAL operates on a regular basis in more than 30 countries thanks to the global approach of its organisational structure regarding sales, logistics, administration, marketing, purchases and human resources.

The logistics capacity of CATRAL is one of the main values for clients.

A prompt and eficient logistics service, with a portfolio over 2.000 references from assembling bags to pavilion kits.

The logistics centre has over 23.000 m2 builts and also includes intelligent goods organisation systems. Permanent stock, location control computerisation of each reference in the main stocking, picking route optimisation and also, exhaustive logistic specifications control for ecah client, enables to minimise timings for any of our references.

INNOVATION

Innovation is a CATRAL´s estrategic pillar. The brand is recognised as one of the largest that offers the higher number of new references to the market every year.

Evidence of this is the number of utility brands, designs and formats that the company owns in both nationally and internationally. We must also note that the offer increases with over 400 references, what shows the speed with which we adopt the new products.

Innovation in CATRAL is directed to add value to the customer. The Innovation Committe, comprised of each department director, constantly works to develop new own manufature products, also to add new ranges to boost the business capacity of our customers and to plan innovative forms of commercialisation, communication & marketing in the sector.
